What We Value
We hold these values and principles as essential to the character of our church:
God calls His people to meet regularly for worship.
We strive to be people of integrity by imitating the character of Christ.
All people matter to God and, therefore, matter to us.
Loving relationships should permeate every aspect of church life.
God desires His Church to operate as a unified community of servants who steward their spiritual gifts, abilities, time, money, and resources.
Believers should lead churches with the giftedness and spiritual maturity appropriate to their ministry.
We seek to teach and worship in the power of the Holy Spirit.
The primary vehicle for pastoral care is small groups.
Small groups provide nurture, education, and growth.
The church should be culturally relevant without compromising its doctrinal foundations.
Excellence honours God and inspires people.
What We Believe
We assert doctrines that we regard as crucial to understanding the faith, which should result in mutual love, practical Christian service, and evangelistic concern:
The sovereignty and grace of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit in creation, providence, revelation, redemption, and final judgment.
The divine inspiration of the Holy Scriptures and their consequent entire trustworthiness and supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
The universal sinfulness and guilt of fallen humanity subject us to God's wrath and condemnation.
The substitutionary sacrifice of the incarnate Son of God as the sole, all-sufficient ground of redemption from the guilt and power of sin and its eternal consequences.
The sinner's justification is solely by God's grace through repentance and faith in Christ, who was crucified and is risen from the dead.
The illuminating, regenerating, indwelling, and sanctifying work of God the Holy Spirit.
The priesthood of all believers, who form the universal church, with Christ as the Head, are committed to the proclamation of the Gospel worldwide.
The expectation of the personal, visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ in power and glory, the resurrection of the dead, and the final judgment of people from all nations.
The two ordinances of the Lord Jesus Christ, namely, baptism and the Lord's Supper, are of perpetual obligation.
As evangelical Christians, we uphold two church ordinances: baptism and Communion, also known as the Lord's Supper.
Baptism is the immersion in water of a person who professes repentance from sin and faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord. Baptismal services may be held as required and will be conducted by a Senior Pastor, Pastor, or Elder.
Communion, or the Lord's Supper, is a spiritual fellowship in the death, resurrection, and present reality of the Lord Jesus Christ. The observance shall take place at times determined by the church. All who love the Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity and truth are welcome at the Lord's Supper.
